Carolyn brings over 30 years of expertise in Nuclear Medicine imaging, specializing in PET. Since joining the UBC PET group in 1994, her focus has been on brain imaging. She obtained her MRI certification in 2021, further expanding her skill set following the installation of the PET/MRI scanner.
In her role, she oversees the daily operations of the PET/MR imaging program, planning imaging protocols and scanning of study participants across a range of studies, including Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s and dementia, psychiatric disorders, COVID-19, and aging. Carolyn’s passion for medical research and brain imaging drives her dedication to supporting PIs and researchers in achieving their research goals.
